The 2016 Sandia Wind Turbine Blade Workshop will bring together wind energy professionals from industry, universities, and national laboratories to discuss challenges, issues, and solutions related to wind turbine blades. Sandia’s Wind Energy Technology Department is funded by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and is recognized as a leading research group in the United States for wind blade technology. This Workshop aids Sandia and DOE maintain this leadership position in part by supporting the U.S. wind power industry through workshops. Sandia has hosted this event every other year since 2004. The 2016 Workshop marks the 7th edition. The Sandia Wind Turbine Blade Workshop has become a highly anticipated event bringing together an international group of participants and speakers. In 2014, the Blade Workshop included over 40 presenters, and over 200 attendees from 13 countries.
